GB cyclist Dani King in "good shape" three months after training crash

British cyclist Dani King says that she feels in "good shape" three months after suffering five broken ribs and a collapsed lung during a training crash.

British cyclist Dani King has insisted that she is in "good shape" three months after suffering a string of injuries as a result of a training crash.

The 24-year-old suffered five broken ribs and a collapsed lung after a member of her riding group hit a pothole during a regular training route in South Wales.

"I was cycling on the cobbles in the rain so it doesn't get much worse than that," King told BBC Sport. "I am in good shape, I just need to get my confidence back.

"It was scary but I am getting there. Everyone in the team was so nice and encouraged me to get back on the road."

King, who won Olympic gold in the team pursuit in 2012, recently went to Belgium with team Wiggle-Honda for a training camp.
