Team Sky's principal Sir Dave Brailsford has confirmed that Chris Froome will be the man who will lead the outfit's attack on the Tour de France this year.
Sir Bradley Wiggins, who won the Tour in 2012, had hinted recently that he could be given the responsibility again.
However, Brailsford has insisted that the plan has always been for Froome to be the main rider.
"Given Chris's step up in performances this year, our plan, as it has been since January is to have him lead the Tour de France team," he said.
Froome rode last year as part of the team that helped Wiggins to success.
