Every name in the frame for this year's Strictly Come Dancing

Media Mole rounds up every celebrity linked with appearing on this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.

If reports are to be believed, not even the coronavirus pandemic can stop Strictly Come Dancing. The BBC is said to be full steam ahead with plans for this year's show, albeit with some slight modifications to the usual format in order to comply with social distancing rules.

The identities of the celebrities in the lineup are not usually confirmed until July, but the rumour mill is already in overdrive about potential contestants taking part.

Here, we round up every famous face to be linked to the show so far!

Mrs Hinch

RuPaul Charles

Legendary US drag queen RuPaul Charles is a huge fan of Strictly and appeared on the show last year in a guest capacity to support his best friend Michelle Visage. Ru is one of a number of top names being courted by the show this year, although his packed filming schedule with the Drag Race franchise means that he is unlikely to have enough free time to commit to the series.

TikTok superstar Holly H

With more than 16 million followers, Holly H is Britain's most successful star on the social networking app TikTok. The 23-year-old from Guernsey is said to be the show's "number one target" as producers look to bring in younger viewers.

Jamie Laing

Made In Chelsea star and biscuit heir Jamie Laing was announced as part of the lineup for last year's show but was forced to withdraw through injury, paving the way for his last-minute replacement Kelvin Fletcher to go on and win the whole thing. Reports earlier this year suggested that the 31-year-old has already signed up for a fresh crack at the crown.

Zoe Sugg

Zoe Sugg, aka Zoella, is the older sister of fellow YouTuber and former contestant Joe Sugg, who finished as a runner-up in the 2018 series. The 30-year-old has become a multi-millionaire through her beauty vlogs and has an audience of millions of young followers.

Boris Becker

One of the bigger names to be linked with the show, former tennis star Boris Becker could be Strictly's most expensive signing to date. The 52-year-old is said to have demanded £500,000 to appear on a recent series of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here - a fee that ITV were unwilling to meet.

Fearne Cotton pictured in February 2014© Reuters

Former Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton has been linked with the show for many years now - and last year friend Chris Evans claimed that she was "teetering on the brink" of taking part. Could 2020 be the year that she says yes?

Michelle Keegan in Our Girl© BBC

Michelle Keegan

Former Coronation Street and Our Girl actress Michelle Keegan was one of the first names to be linked with this year's lineup. The 32-year-old is thought to have turned down an approach though as she is keen to keep testing her acting chops in big dramas.

Miles Nazaire of Made In Chelsea© Channel 4

Miles Nazaire

The Made In Chelsea star has made a public plea for producers to cast him and has already boasted that he believes he would win. Whether he could appear this year depends on if Jamie Laing returns, however, with producers unlikely to feature two contestants from the same TV series.

Grayson Perry pictured in October 2018© Reuters

Grayson Perry

The renowned artist claims that he previously rejected the show in 2017 but has now had a change of heart and is eager to take part. The 60-year-old has said that he would not compete as his alter-ego Claire, however, and has already selected Oti Mabuse as his partner of choice.

Matilda Ramsay on Masterchef Junior© FOX

Tilly Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay's daughter Tilly, 18, is apparently in talks to take part either this year or in 2021. The youngster is following in her father's footsteps by carving out a career as a presenter/chef and has been a regular on CBBC for five years.

Kylie Minogue pictured in November 2019© Reuters

Kylie Minogue

If this is true, we'll eat a glitterball. Pop princess Kylie Minogue is said to be the producers' top target for this year's show - although they would surely have to smash the BBC's piggy bank to convince her to take part.

Former Hear'Say singer Myleene Klass is said to have entered talks to appear in the show - and if the rumours are correct, she could be in store for an epic reunion....

The 33-year-old is thought to have been approached by Strictly but has knocked back the offer.

Jack P Shepherd as David Platt in Coronation Street© ITV

Jack P Shepherd

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd, who has just celebrated 20 years playing David Platt on the soap, is an odds-on favourite with most bookies to sign up. The 32-year-old recently revealed that he is a big fan of ballroom and has started taking dance lessons with his girlfriend.

Zack Morris

No Strictly lineup would be complete without an EastEnders actor on board, and this year's favourite to take that mantle is Zack Morris, aka teenage trouble Keegan Baker.

Jane Goldman pictured in September 2017© Reuters

Jane Goldman

One of the UK's top movie screenwriters, Jane Goldman - wife of chat show supremo Jonathan Ross - is said to be "in advanced talks" for the show. The X-Men and Kick-Ass writer is good friends with judge Craig Revel Horwood, who is apparently encouraging her to take part.

Cheryl Cole pictured in May 2016© Reuters

Cheryl

Another for the 'highly unlikely' pile, former The X Factor judge and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl nevertheless has decent odds with the bookies to join the lineup. The 36-year-old finds herself with a gap in her schedule after her BBC series The Greatest Dancer was axed.

Jo Swinson

Elected as the first ever female leader of the Liberal Democrats in 2019, Jo Swinson went on to lead her party to an embarrassing election defeat less than five months later, losing her own seat as an MP in the process. Former England cricketer turned broadcaster Jonathan Agnew is a firm favourite with the bookies to take part in this year's show. The 60-year-old is thought to be a big Strictly fan and could follow in the footsteps of his friend Graeme Swann, who finished seventh in the 2018 edition.

Katie Price pictured in February 2011© Reuters

Gillian Anderson pictured on February 2, 2020© Reuters

Gillian Anderson

The X-Files actress is reportedly wanted to be the celebrity half of the show's first all-female pairing. Producers are said to be going all out to secure some top names this year and Anderson would certainly fit that billing.

Jessie J pictured in May 2015© Reuters

Jessie J

Should Gillian Anderson not be tempted to take part, singer Jessie J is also thought to be on the producers' wishlist for the first all-female couple.

Katie McGlynn as Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street© ITV

Katie McGlynn

Former Coronation Street actress Katie McGlynn fits the mould of a Strictly signing and is apparently in talks to take part this year. The 26-year-old received much acclaim as her Corrie character Sinead Tinker succumbed to terminal cancer in a storyline that aired last autumn.
