Brazilian club Santos are hoping to re-sign AC Milan attacker Robinho next year.

Brazilian club Santos are hoping to mark their centenary year by re-signing AC Milan attacker Robinho in 2012, according to O Estado de Sao Paulo.

Club president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro, who recently convinced Neymar to agree a new deal at the Urbano Caldeira, has revealed that adding Robinho to his squad would be a "dream".

"It's a dream to have [Robinho] back in the centenary year and we are doing our best to make it a reality," said Ribeiro. "Thanks to Neymar, Santos are now in the news around the world."

Robinho left Santos in 2005 to join Real Madrid for a reported £24m fee.
