Dunfermline Athletic top the Scottish League One table on the first day of the season following a convincing 6-1 win away to Brechin City.
Fayssal El-Bakhtaoui registered his first two goals of the season, while Michael Moffat, Joe Cardle, Ryan Wallace and Joshua Falkingham also got off the mark for the Pars. David Weatherston picked up a goal for Brechin in the final minute of regular time, but it was only a consolation.
Last season's Scottish League Two champions Albion Rovers were also comfortable winners with a 3-0 win at home to Ayr United.
Ross Davidson put the North Lanarkshire side ahead just two minutes in, with Alistair Love then grabbing a goal either side of half time.
Peterhead and Stenhousemuir fought out a 2-2 draw at the Balmoor Stadium despite the visitors going two goals ahead in the first half.
Euan Murray and Allan Smith put the Warriors ahead before the break, but a second yellow card for defender Stuart Malcolm just five minutes into the second half gave Peterhead a way back into the game. Striker Rory McAllister scored his side's first with a penalty before Jordon Brown levelled things with 15 minutes to go.
There was late drama at Central Park as last season's Scottish League One runners-up Stranraer picked up a 2-1 win away to Cowdenbeath.
Ryan Thomson had given the visitors the lead just four minutes in, but Dean Brett equalised with 30 minutes remaining. Craig Malcolm then scored the winner for Stranraer in the final minute before Declan Hughes was shown a straight red card in added time.
Elsewhere, Forfar Athletic got off to a winning start with a 1-0 away victory against Airdrieonians as Chris Templeman put the Loons ahead in just the second minute.
