Ajax have announced that they will rename the Amsterdam ArenA the Johan Cruyff ArenA from the start of next season.
The stadium has been renamed in memory of former Ajax player and coach Johan Cruyff, who passed away from lung cancer in March 2016.
The former Dutch international had two stints as a player at Ajax, winning eight top-flight titles and a trio of European Cups with the Eredivisie club.
Cruyff returned for a third time as manager and won three trophies in charge of the side, before coaching Barcelona to four back-to-back league titles.
Not only will Ajax be renaming the stadium in memory of the late striker, but the club logo will also be redesigned ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
"We are pleased with this news, and that the stadium can be officially named the Johan Cruyff ArenA from the new football season," a Cruyff family statement read.
The new club logo will be unveiled on April 25, the day on which Cruyff would have turned 71.
