Almeria edged further away from the La Liga relegation zone thanks to a 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo in a match that saw both sides reduced to 10 men this evening.
The visitors took the lead at the Estadio Mediterraneo just after the quarter-hour mark when Michael Krohn-Dehli had an effort blocked before Nolito volleyed the rebound into the top corner.
Almeria threatened through Thievy Bifouma but soon conceded a second in the 39th minute, courtesy of Jose Casado's miscued back-pass that was pounced upon by Santi Mina and slotted past Ruben.
The hosts were brighter after the restart and pulled a goal back when goalkeeper Sergio Alvarez palmed a Javier Espinoza strike into the path of Bifouma, who fired home from close range.
