On this day: Diego Maradona scores 'Hand of God'

Twenty-eight years ago today, Diego Maradona produces 'The Hand of God' as Argentina knock England out of the World Cup.

The saying goes that there is a fine line between genius and madness. Some 28 years ago today, Diego Maradona displayed both traits as Argentina knocked England out of the World Cup in Mexico.

The events that unfolded inside the Estadio Azteca have been told many times over, as Maradona punched his side into a 1-0 lead, before going on to score one of football's most memorable solo goals.

Rather than add our own version, Sports Mole will instead allow the video below to do the talking as Maradona produced two of football's most iconic moments.
