Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella praises his players for their performance against Uruguay in a 3-0 victory at home on Friday.

Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella was delighted with his side's 3-0 victory over Uruguay at home on Friday.

Two goals from Lionel Messi saw La Albiceleste bag maximum points against their South American rivals in Mendoza in the 2014 World Cup qualifier.

"Great match by the players against an experienced team who for good reason finished fourth at the [2010] World Cup," said Sabella.

Argentina are currently at the top of the CONMEBOL standings with 17 points from eight matches.
