Luis Suarez admits that Uruguay will not find it easy to defeat Argentina in Mendoza in their World Cup qualifier on Friday.

Uruguay international striker Luis Suarez has admitted that winning against Argentina on Friday will not be easy for his side.

La Celeste will take on their South American counterparts in a 2014 World Cup qualifier in Mendoza and will head into the game just two points behind them in fourth place in the CONMEBOL zone.

"We're not going through a great [period at] present, and Argentina have improved a lot since we faced them [in the Copa America quarter-finals in 2011]," Suarez told ESPN.

"We must use their defensive weaknesses. We realise that we cannot make mistakes at the back because they will not show us mercy. But we have the potential up front to hurt them."

Argentina lead the CONMEBOL standings with 14 points from seven matches.
