Kieran Gibbs could return to starting lineup against Bayern Munich

Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs could start against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League round-of-16 tie tomorrow.

Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs could be thrown into the Gunners' starting lineup against Bayern Munich tomorrow after recovering from injury.

The 23-year-old, who has not played for the North London outfit since the end of January, could be given the nod in Germany as Arsenal try to overcome a 3-1 deficit to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

"[Gibbs] is back in the squad, yes," manager Arsene Wenger told the club's official website.

"It is great to have him back because we play [Thomas] Vermaelen out of position, although he can play left-back. I have not decided if Kieran will start, but hopefully he will be fit to start."

Bacary Sagna and Abou Diaby are out of the clash, while Jack Wilshere will be out of action for three weeks with an inflamed ankle.
