Aaron Ramsey backs decision to avoid Millennium Stadium

Aaron Ramsey admits that he is pleased Wales will not be playing their remaining qualifying fixtures at the Millennium Stadium.

Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey has revealed that he agrees with the decision not to play the team's remaining Euro 2016 qualifiers at the Millennium Stadium.

Ahead of June's meeting with Group B leaders Belgium, there have been suggestions that the importance of the match means it should be played in the 74,500-seater, but Ramsey is relieved to hear that Chris Coleman's side will be returning to the Cardiff City Stadium.

"We're very happy playing at Cardiff City Stadium," the Arsenal midfielder told reporters. "That's what we've been used to now - if we were at the Millennium it still feels empty even with the amount of fans we've been getting there.

"Instead we've got a sell-out, a great atmosphere and the pitch is really good, whereas when we used to play at the Millennium the pitch used to cut up and was a bit bobbly.

"We have none of those issues playing where we are and the players are comfortable."

Wales are level on points with Belgium at the halfway stage of the qualifying campaign.
