Mikel Arteta admits that he is dreaming of an FA Cup final with new club Arsenal.

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has said that he is dreaming of taking part in the FA Cup final.

The Spaniard, who spent six seasons with Everton before arriving at the Emirates in the summer, admits that he had few positive experiences in the cup competition with his old club.

However, he is now looking forward to a better experience in North London.

"The FA Cup is a big trophy," he said. "We are only focused on Aston Villa, but I certainly dream of playing the final at Wembley.

"With Everton I had more negative experiences than positive in the FA Cup but I remember my first match in the competition. The atmosphere was magnificent and that day confirmed for me that the Cup is always special.

"Villa have an excellent squad. They are very dangerous and we know it won't be an easy match."

Meanwhile, Arsenal are in fifth place in the Premier League, 18 points adrift of first.
