Half-Time Report: Swansea City on top against Arsenal but goalless at Emirates

Swansea City have the best chances but are held to a 0-0 half-time scoreline at Arsenal.

Visiting Swansea City have had the best chances of the opening half against Arsenal but it remains goalless at the Emirates.

The Swans were the side to start better and perhaps should have taken the lead just before the quarter-hour mark when Angel Rangel was picked out with plenty of space on the right of the area.

The Spanish full-back took one touch before blasting at Wojciech Szczesny, who parried and then denied Rangel again on the rebound.

Swansea were taking the game to the Gunners and again had the chance to go ahead when Miguel Michu won a header to set Nathan Dyer in on goal. The rapid winger broke clear but was denied a clean shot on goal by a sliding Thomas Vermaelen.
