Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be sidelined for up to "eight weeks" with a knee injury.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 22, suffered the complaint during last week's Champions League encounter against Barcelona.
A scan has revealed that surgery is not required, yet the attacker is unlikely to return to action until late April at the earliest.
"He will be out for six to eight weeks but he won't need surgery," the Arsenal boss told reporters.
The England international has made 37 appearances for club and country this season, from which he has scored three goals.
