Arsenal forward Gervinho has admitted that he can perform better as his first season in English football comes to a close.

The Ivory Coast international, who signed for the Gunners from Lille last summer, has scored four goals in all competitions this campaign.

"I am happy about my first season but I know I can do better," he told the club's official website.

"I have scored and given assists but I also created a few chances that I missed. If I had been more efficient, it would have been even better.

"I need to work hard at training to become more clinical in front of goal. I'm not worried though."

Arsenal continue their pursuit of Champions League football when they host Aston Villa in the Premier League tomorrow (Saturday).
