Gervinho says that he is still suffering after the Africa Cup of Nations.

Gervinho has said that he is still suffering after the Africa Cup of Nations, and admits that it is having an effect on his Arsenal form.

The striker helped the Ivory Coast to the tournament final, but they fell to Zambia in a penalty shootout.

"I have come back from a nightmarish African Nations Cup," Gervinho said. "We lost out on the trophy in the final in sickening fashion.

"I've become more and more tired, both physically and mentally.

"It has not been easy emotionally either, so it is natural to be suffering the after-effects. But I am not worried and I'm going to come back stronger than ever."

Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League, trailing rivals Tottenham Hotspur by one point.
