Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil vows to come back "stronger"

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil vows to come back "stronger" after suffering a hamstring injury against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has insisted that he will come back "stronger" for the club following his recent injury blow.

The German international is expected to be sidelined for a "few weeks" with a hamstring problem.

The former Real Madrid star picked up the injury during Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich, which booted the Gunners out of the Champions League on Tuesday.

Ozil wrote on Facebook today: "dear friends, now it's clear: during the #ucl match against #FCBayern I suffered a muscle injury in the second minute. I tried to give my best and played until the end of the first half. rest assured that I'll be back even stronger!"

While the extent of Ozil's injury remains unknown, the midfielder has been ruled out of Sunday's North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
