Aaron Ramsey: 'It took over a year to recover from leg break'

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey admits that it took him over a year to fully recover from his double leg break he suffered in 2010.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has revealed that it took him around a year to recover from his double leg break he suffered in February 2010.

The Welsh midfielder was injured in a challenge with Stoke City's Ryan Shawcross during a game more than three years ago, and the Gunners man admits that it was a huge setback to his career.

"To get over that kind of injury takes a year, probably a bit longer," The Mirror quotes Ramsey as saying.

"You must keep believing and working hard, and it just feels, all of a sudden, that it clicks into that bubble and you are full of confidence.

"It takes a long time to mentally overcome it. It was from last Christmas, that's when I was getting back to my best. That is when I felt confident, and when I was getting stuck in."

Arsenal entertain Stoke in the Premier League this afternoon.
