The German playmaker makes his third appearance for the Gunners as manager Arsene Wenger makes one change to the side that beat Sunderland last weekend, with Per Mertesacker back in defence in place of Carl Jenkinson.

Visiting Stoke also make a single change that sees recent signing Marko Arnautovic start for the first time instead of Matthew Etherington.

Three points for Wenger's Gunners will see them move top of the Premier League.
