Harry Redknapp: 'Arsenal will win league with new striker'

Arsenal will win the Premier League title this season if they sign a new striker, according to Harry Redknapp.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has predicted that Arsenal will win the Premier League title if they sign a new striker this summer.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, and Redknapp insists that someone needs to support Olivier Giroud this season.

He wrote in The Telegraph: "I have had a feeling all summer that this could be the season for Arsenal to win the Premier League title again.

"One game is not going to change that assessment but it is still with one caveat: I am relying on Arsene Wenger getting another striker before the transfer window closes.

"Arsenal are very close with the squad they have now – and I still think that Petr Cech will make a massive difference – but you cannot just go with Olivier Giroud as the only striker. It is impossible."

Arsene Wenger's men opened their campaign with a 2-0 defeat at home to West Ham United
