Report: Walsall's Rico Henry attracting Premier League interest

A report claims that Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are all closely monitoring Walsall defender Rico Henry.

Walsall teenager Rico Henry has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

The 18-year-old, who came through the Saddlers' youth system, was recently described by his club boss Dean Smith as like "a young Ashley Cole".

The left-back signed a new three-year deal at Walsall last month, but according to The Mirror, that has not stopped a quartet of Premier League clubs closely monitoring the defender's development.

Henry has already made 12 league appearances for his League One club this season, scoring once in the process.
