Tomas Rosicky targets third place

Tomas Rosicky insists that Arsenal want to finish third in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has insisted that the club's aim is to finish in third spot in the Premier League.

The 31-year-old, who recently signed a new deal with the Gunners, has also praised the strength of Arsene Wenger's side.

"Turning it around costs a lot of physical energy as well as mental energy. On the other hand, it shows how strong this young team is," Rosicky told Pravo.

"We are a point behind third-placed Tottenham and three points ahead of Chelsea. Our aim is to finish third to book a direct place in the Champions League."

Arsenal currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League table.
