Preview: Arsenal vs. Queens Park Rangers

Arsene Wenger is expected to welcome back Theo Walcott for Queens Park Rangers' visit to the Emirates on New Year's Eve.

Arsenal will look to recover from their draw with Wolves on Tuesday when they welcome the out-of-form QPR to the Emirates.

Queens Park Rangers have picked up just two points in their last six matches and lie 16th in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger will welcome back Theo Walcott to the starting lineup after the Englishman missed out on the Wolves affair due to illness.

In defence, Thomas Vermaelen and Laurent Koscielny are expected to again fill in at full-back while Aaron Ramsey will be hoping for a starting place.

Neil Warnock has an almost fully fit squad to choose from and Jamie Mackie is likely to retain his place up front alongside Heidar Helguson after netting in his last two.

In midfield, Warnock will have to choose between Shaun Wright-Phillips and Adel Taarabt while Alejandro Faurlin is expected to continue his streak as the only midfield player to feature in every minute of the season so far.

Martin Atkinson takes charge of the affair, which is the first time the clubs have met in the league since 1995 when Paul Merson struck a brace in a 3-0 win for the Gunners.

Current Form:

Arsenal: Szczesney; Koscielny, Mertesacker, Djourou, Vermaelen; Ramsey, Song, Benayoun; Walcott, Van Persie, Gervinho
