Arsenal 'join Joel Asoro race'

A report claims that Arsenal scouted Sunderland forward Joel Asoro during last week's Under-21 international between Sweden and Spain.

Arsenal have reportedly joined the race for Sunderland youngster Joel Asoro.

The 17-year-old, who joined Sunderland from Swedish football in 2015, made his Premier League debut for the Black Cats in their clash with Middlesbrough last month.

It has been reported that Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and AC Milan are all interested in the teenager, and it is understood that the Milan duo had the forward watched in last week's Under-21 game between Sweden and Spain.

According to SportExpressen.Se, Arsenal also had a scout in attendance to watch the teenager, who scored 12 times in 17 appearances for Sweden at Under-17 level.

Asoro made his first Sunderland start in last month's League Cup clash with Shrewsbury Town.
