Arsenal 'make James Rodriguez contact'

Arsenal reportedly make contact with intermediaries to discuss a loan deal for James Rodriguez, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid.

Arsenal have reportedly made contact with intermediaries to discuss a loan deal for James Rodriguez.

James is currently on an extended loan at Bayern Munich, but is due to return to parent club Real Madrid at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Madrid are said to be keen to sell Rodriguez this summer, but according to The Independent, Arsenal are exploring the possibility of taking the Colombia international on loan.

However, the same report has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur could also launch a move for the 27-year-old, particularly if Christian Eriksen moves to the Bernabeu.

James has scored three times in 12 appearances for Bayern during the 2018-19 campaign.

The South American netted 11 times in 33 matches for Madrid during the 2016-17 season before moving to the Allianz Arena.
