Arsenal switch attention from Diego Costa to Mario Mandzukic?

Having been told that Diego Costa is joining Chelsea, Arsenal reportedly make a move to sign Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly made Bayern Munich's Mario Mandzukic his number one summer transfer target.

Recent speculation had claimed that Wenger was keen to bolster his attacking options with Atletico Madrid frontman Diego Costa.

However, when the Gunners approached Atletico regarding the availability of their Spanish international, they were informed that he was bound for London rivals Chelsea, according to the London Evening Standard.

As a result, the report added that Wenger has now switched his attention to Mandzukic, who has scored 17 Bundesliga goals for the German champions this season.

It is believed that the Croatian could be tempted away from Bayern due to the arrival of Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund.
