Bolton Wanderers sign Wellington Silva on season-long loan

Bolton Wanderers sign Arsenal winger Wellington Silva on a season-long loan deal.

Bolton Wanderers have announced the signing of Arsenal winger Wellington Silva on a season-long loan deal.

The 22-year-old Brazilian moved to North London from Fluminense in 2010, but work permit issues have blocked his path to a spot in the first-team squad.

Silva, who has won two Under-21 caps for his country, spent last season on loan at Almeria, and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is confident that he will impress in the Championship.

"He's a creative, tricky, quick player," Wenger told Arsenal's official website. "He's absolutely stunning to watch and I believe Bolton will be surprised by his quality.

"I believe he will do extremely well because he has gained a lot of experience in Spain, he has come back to England and I am confident he will have a big impact in the Championship."

Silva failed to find the net in 35 appearances for Almeria last season.
