Rumoured Chelsea and Arsenal target Nicolas Tagliafico is hoping to leave Ajax this summer, according to his agent Ricardo Schlieper.

The agent of Nicolas Tagliafico has confirmed that the rumoured Chelsea and Arsenal target is looking to leave Ajax when the transfer window opens.

Left-back Tagliafico is rumoured to have caught the eye of the Premier League pair with his displays this season, while Barcelona may also be tempted to make a move.

All three sides have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of the Argentina international, with his two-and-a-half-year spell in Amsterdam set to come to an end this summer.

"We are looking for a transfer for Tagliafico," agent Ricardo Schlieper is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.

"We have agreed with Ajax that he would leave this year. After having spent two-and-a-half seasons at the club, it's the ideal moment for it.

"If football goes back to being normal, a transfer could be done. There are clubs that are interested but we have to see how everything pans out with football and the pandemic.

"I will never mention a name of the club we are speaking with because it hurts the negotiations for us and the player."

Ajax are reportedly after €25m (£22.4m) for the 27-year-old, who made 24 Eredivisie appearances for the Dutch giants in 2019-20.
