Johan Djourou wants Hamburger SV stay

Arsenal defender Johan Djourou admits that he wants to make his loan move to Hamburger SV permanent.

Arsenal defender Johan Djourou has revealed that he would like to make his loan move to Hamburger SV permanent.

The 27-year-old joined the German side in January 2013 before extending his deal to the end of this season.

"I know the coach, I love the club, I love the city. HSV is incredible," Djourou told Bild. "The club has so much potential. We have to go way up.

"The fans are great. The mood is different than in England. If all goes well and the club also want to, I would stay."

Djourou signed his first professional contract with Arsenal in 2004 after graduating from their youth academy.
