Nabil Fekir will only leave Lyon for Arsenal, says father

Nabil Fekir's father says that the 21-year-old midfielder would only leave Lyon to join Arsenal, as it is "the only club that can enable him to progress".

The father of Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir has claimed that his son will move to Arsenal in the future, while also criticising Manchester City for implying that they would only leave him on the bench.

The 21-year-old has rapidly become one of Les Gones's most important players following a series of bright displays in Ligue 1.

Nabil Fekir Sr is quoted by The Daily Star as saying: "Nabil would like to finish 1st or 2nd and play Champions League football with Lyon.

"If he leaves, it'll be for Arsenal. It's the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsene Wenger. He will not go to Manchester City to sit on the bench."

Lyon are currently third in the Ligue 1 table.
