Fiorentina vow to keep Juan Cuadrado

Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle says that he will do everything possible to keep Juan Cuadrado from the clutches of Arsenal and Barcelona.

Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle has promised to do everything in his power to keep Colombia star Juan Cuadrado at the club beyond the summer.

The likes of Arsenal and Barcelona have reportedly been alerted by the 26-year-old's displays in the World Cup thus far, where he has helped his nation into the last-16 stage.

Despite admitting that it is "really difficult" to fend off interest in his star names, the Viola chief says that he will do his all to keep Cuadrado in Florence.

"I've always promised to do the best to keep him in Florence and it's my first aim. It's really difficult, but I'll do what is possible," he told reporters.

"We haven't spoken with anyone and we have not asked anyone for any money."

Cuadrado, whose Fiorentina contract expires in three years, is expected to face Uruguay in Colombia's second-round clash this Saturday.
