Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano says that Dusan Vlahovic 'remains motivated' to perform at Viola despite persistent talk about a move to Arsenal.

Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano says that Dusan Vlahovic 'remains motivated' despite persistent talk regarding a transfer to Arsenal.

With less than 18 months left on his contract, it is effectively guaranteed that the Serbia international will move to a bigger club in one of the next two windows.

Arsenal appear most likely to get a deal over the line in January, the Gunners allegedly being the only club willing to meet Viola's valuation.

Nevertheless, Italiano has no concerns about the short and long-term future after witnessing the 21-year-old net his 17th Serie A goal of the season against Genoa on Monday night.

As quoted by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Italiano said: "At the moment we enjoy Dusan here at Fiorentina, he's with us. I don't know about the future. He scored a great goal today. I see him very motivated, he's relaxed".

Reports have suggested that Vlahovic would prefer to remain in Italy's top flight over a January move to the Premier League.
