Lille reportedly place a £47m price tag on the head of striker Jonathan David, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Lille have reportedly put a £47m asking price on the head of striker Jonathan David, who has been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal.

The 21-year-old scored 13 times to help fire Lille to a surprise Ligue 1 title triumph last season, and he has already surpassed that tally in 2021-22.

David has 14 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, including 11 in the league and three in six Champions League outings.

Liverpool and Arsenal are both understood to be in the market for attacking reinforcements over the next couple of transfer windows, and David is one of the names under consideration for both clubs.

However, Jeunes Footeux reports that Lille president Olivier Letang will not consider any bids below £47m for the Canadian international.

Lille are also unlikely to let David leave midway through the season, meaning that any interested parties may have to wait until the summer to sign him.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in the forward.
