James Milner is reportedly keen to stay at Manchester City for the rest of his career, but is still refusing to sign a new contract.
The 29-year-old midfielder becomes a free agent at the end of the season and has been linked with several clubs, including Premier League rivals Liverpool.
However, The Mirror claims that the former Aston Villa star is keen to commit his long-term future to the English champions and wants a four-year contract to remain at the Etihad Stadium.
City are believed to be offering a three-year £80,000-a-week deal to keep the England international.
Liverpool are still said to be monitoring Milner's situation, while Arsenal and Inter Milan are also keen.
