Arsenal target Alvaro Morata reveals "tempting" offers from England

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata admits that he would like to earn a regular starting role at Real Madrid, but hints that a move to the Premier League is also an option.

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has revealed that he has received a number of "tempting" offers from English clubs.

The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal thought to be interested.

The Gunners reportedly lead the chase, although Real Madrid are expected to exercise a buy-back clause in the Spaniard's contract before selling him on for a greater profit.

Morata admitted that his ideal scenario would see him earn a place in Madrid's first team, but the competition for places at the Bernabeu could see him look elsewhere for regular football.

"Hopefully everything will be resolved before then, because it is uncomfortable to be helping your country with phone in hand. My wish is to succeed in Madrid, but Madrid have great players and what I want is to play and feel important," he told AS.

"There are some offers from England that are tempting, not only because of the contract. I think my characteristics mean the Premier League would be a great destination.

"With what I have learned in Italy, if I have the chance to learn something more in England I think it would make me a more complete player. I am 23 years old and I want to progress, to play and learn from the best."

Morata has scored 27 goals in 93 appearances during his two-year stay in Turin.
