Premier League clubs will have to wait until July before attempting to sign Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho, according to a report.

Premier League clubs will reportedly have to wait until July before attempting to sign Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho.

The 28-year-old only made 14 appearances at club level during the 2020-21 campaign, with a knee injury keeping him on the sidelines since the end of December.

Barca are said to be open to selling the Brazil international during this summer's transfer window, and Arsenal and Everton have both been credited with an interest.

However, according to Sky Sports News, there is unlikely to be a decision on Coutinho's future until he has undergone another eight weeks of rehabilitation following his latest knee operation last month.

As a result, the report claims that interested clubs will have to wait until July before making an official move for the former Liverpool playmaker.

The South American, who has a contract at Camp Nou until June 2023, has largely struggled to make his mark for Barca since arriving in January 2018.
