Report: Tottenham Hotspur keep tabs on Alex Song

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to offer Alex Song a move away from Barcelona back to the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping tabs on former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song.

The Cameroon international has failed to make his mark since moving to Barcelona last summer.

According to The Mirror, both Spurs and Arsenal are ready to offer him a return to North London.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has urged Song to wait another season as he tries to adapt to life in Spain, but Spurs could move this summer especially if they qualify for the Champions League.

The report also suggests that AC Milan and Monaco will battle it out for Spurs' Benoit Assou-Ekotto for around £6m.

That would allow manager Andre Villas-Boas to target Southampton's Luke Shaw or Fabio Coentrao of Real Madrid.
