Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly turned down an approach from North London rivals Arsenal for winger Clinton N'Jie.
The 22-year-old joined Spurs last summer in an £8.3m deal from Lyon, rejecting the Gunners then in favour of a move to White Hart Lane.
However, the Cameroon international did not make a single Premier League start under Mauricio Pochettino and is likely to fall further down the pecking order should Spurs complete the signing of Georges-Kevin N'Koudou.
L'Equipe claims that Spurs have agreed to send N'Jie on loan to Marseille for a season as part of the agreement to bring N'Koudou in the opposite direction, but that Arsenal made a late bid to hijack the deal.
However, Tottenham are unwilling to sell to a direct rival and would prefer to use the winger as a makeweight in the N'Koudou transfer, particularly if it is only on loan.
Overall, N'Jie made 14 appearances during his debut season at Tottenham, failing to find the back of the net in that time.
