Tottenham Hotspur to join race for Loic Remy?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a move for Newcastle United's on-loan striker Loic Remy in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur are to make a move to sign striker Loic Remy on a permanent deal in the summer, according to The Metro.

The Frenchman is currently on a season-long loan at Newcastle United from Queens Park Rangers.

The 27-year-old has put in some impressive performances at St James' Park, scoring 13 goals in 24 appearances so far this campaign.

The Magpies are hoping to tie Remy to a permanent transfer, but it is thought that the deal may be difficult to complete with other Premier League sides interested in signing the France international.

Spurs are just one of the sides considering an approach to boost their forward line, having already lost Jermaine Defoe, who joined Toronto in February.

Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Remy as they look to provide competition for Olivier Giroud.

Remy joined QPR from Marseille in 2013.
