Swansea City are preparing to place a £25m asking price on Spanish forward Michu after reported interest from Arsenal.
The Gunners are believed to be exploring the possibility of bringing the 27-year-old to the Emirates Stadium as their bid for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez appears to be doomed.
However, the Welsh side will ask for £25m for the player whom they signed for just £2m last summer, according to The Mirror.
The Swans value Michu so highly following an impressive debut campaign in the Premier League that saw him net 22 goals.
Michu also played a part in helping Michael Laudrup's side win the League Cup last season and the Danish coach would loath to see his talisman leave the club.
The former Rayo Vallecano man also signed a contract extension in January which runs until the summer of 2016.
