Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Francis Coquelin has put pen to paper on a new contract.
The 23-year-old was reportedly the subject of a late bid from Napoli on transfer deadline day, but Arsenal rebuffed their advances.
In this morning's press conference, Wenger admitted that he is pleased with his club's transfer activity after they purchased £15m defender Gabriel Paulista from Villarreal and youngster Krystian Bielik.
"I'm very happy with the business we did," the Frenchman told reporters. "We met our targets and extended Chuba Akpom's and Francis Coquelin's contracts."
Coquelin's previous contract was due to expire in the summer.
