Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: 'No offers made for Alexis Sanchez'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists that no offers have been made for Alexis Sanchez, despite frequent links with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that the club have received no offers for Alexis Sanchez, who has just six months remaining on his contract.

Wenger has frequently claimed that Sanchez will remain at the Emirates Stadium until the end of the season, but the Chilean international continues to be linked with a transfer to either Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain.

However, while Wenger has acknowledged that he will be "busy" in January, the long-serving Gunners manager has claimed that he is still waiting to see if a concrete bid will be made for his star man.

The Frenchman told reporters: "We have not been approached by anyone. Other than that I stand by what I have said before.

"In the transfer window I will be busy. Clubs will contact us to buy and loan players and I will be open to any possibilities to strengthen our team."

A report has said that Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for Sanchez, who has scored five goals in 16 Premier League appearances this season.
