Arsenal are ready to offer England midfielder Jack Wilshere a new four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium, according to reports.

Arsenal have drawn up a new four-year contract for Jack Wilshere, according to reports.

The 25-year-old, who has struggled with injuries in recent years, is being integrated back into the Gunners' first-team fold following last season's loan spell at Bournemouth.

Wilshere is one of seven Arsenal players due to see their current terms expire at the Emirates Stadium come the end of the campaign, and numerous reports over the last few months have suggested that the Englishman may have been deemed surplus to requirements in North London.

According to the Sunday People, however, impressive performances against Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Cup and BATE Borisov in the Europa League have convinced Arsene Wenger to include Wilshere in his future plans.

The report goes on to claim that Wenger has held talks with Wilshere to assure him he has a future at Arsenal, and that terms over a new deal can be agreed by the end of the year.

Wilshere was an unused substitute in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates on Sunday.
