Zorc: 'Arsenal lack respect over Aubameyang'

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says that Arsenal have shown "a lack of respect" in their pursuit of striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has insisted that there has been no contact with Arsenal regarding a possible transfer involving Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

Reports have suggested that Aubameyang is keen on completing a switch to the Emirates Stadium, while Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out the arrival of the Gabon international.

However, Zorc has revealed that he is unhappy with the frequent speculation, claiming that Arsenal have 'lacked respect' over their apparent pursuit of the attacker.

In a statement, the 55-year-old said: "We think it is a lack of respect when you get involved with players who are playing for another team.

"There is no contact with Arsenal. We believe Arsene Wenger has enough to think about when it comes to the performances of his own players."

Dortmund boss Peter Stoger has claimed that Aubameyang remains in his plans at the Westfalenstadion.
