Former Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn has urged England to make the nation proud at next summer's World Cup by giving their "blood, sweat and tears".
The Three Lions booked their place in Brazil next summer with a 2-0 win over Poland on Tuesday evening, and the former Gunners left-back wants to see a good showing at the Brazil tournament.
"Hodgson and his team won't go there believing that they cannot win the World Cup," Winterburn told Sky Sports News.
"There are strong teams and some teams stronger than England though, but they have to believe that they can get through the groups, maybe negotiate the quarter-finals, and see where they end up.
"The fans want to see attacking play, the 25 minutes they played against Poland in the first half was absolutely fantastic, the kind of attacking play we [as fans] want to see. They want to see blood, sweat and tears and if they do then we'll all be proud of them."
England finished top of their group after back-to-back wins at Wembley in the final two games.
