Saturday's Ligue 1 predictions including Angers vs. Monaco

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Angers vs. Monaco.

Nantes vs. Lille (Saturday, 4.00pm)

Lille will look to bounce back following their exit from the Champions League when they travel to Nantes in Ligue 1 on Saturday.

Bruno Genesio's men were dumped out of Europe by Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, losing 2-1 at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy despite holding the German giants to a draw in the first leg, meaning all focus will now be on finishing in the top four.

We say: Nantes 1-2 Lille

Nantes may have held Lille to a draw in the reverse fixture, but they have gone 18 games without a win against Les Dogues, and have lost at least one fixture against them in every season dating back to 2007.

The hosts also have some of the worst home form in Ligue 1, meaning this is the perfect opportunity for Lille to extend their recent good form domestically, which has seen them win three of the last four.

Angers vs. Monaco (Saturday, 6.00pm)

Monaco will look to end a run of recent inconsistent form when they travel to the Stade Raymond-Kopa to face Angers in Ligue 1 on Saturday.

Adi Hutter's side have flattered to deceive in 2025, falling outside the top three, while also suffering elimination from Europe and the Coupe de France.

We say: Angers 1-2 Monaco

Angers may have stunned Monaco in the reverse fixture, but they have shown no form at all in recent weeks, and that has dragged them back into the relegation picture, just when it seemed as though they were sauntering to safety.

Monaco have not fared much better, and if recent results continue, they will drop out of the top four, but this is an excellent opportunity for them to solidify their spot in the Champions League positions against a team they have had plenty of success against of late.

Lens vs. Rennes (Saturday, 8.05pm)

Europe-chasing Lens seek back-to-back Ligue 1 wins for the first time since January when they welcome Rennes to Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Saturday's gameweek 26 contest.

Will Still's men stunned second-placed Marseille last weekend to end a four-match losing top-flight run and aim to record consecutive victories to put pressure on sixth-placed Lyon, whom they trail by six points, in the race to end in the final continental qualification place.

We say: Lens 1-2 Rennes

Although Lens have stayed unbeaten in this fixture in nine games, Rennes' upswing under Beye and the away side's two-match winning streak on the road suggest they are primed for a first victory over Les Sang et Or in a decade.
