Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia has insisted that he will improve himself as the season progresses.
The 20-year-old, who joined the French club from Sevilla in the summer, has featured in just five Ligue 1 matches for Claudio Ranieri's side so far this campaign.
"I think I can do a lot better. I try not to be too hard on myself, but I know that I can offer a lot more. In terms of the impact I make, how I'm playing, I'm usually a lot more at ease. With time, it'll get better," Ligue1.com quotes him as saying.
"This period of adaptation, I had it when I arrived at Sevilla, so I'm not worried. I became a first-team regular and was playing well by the end of October, early November. I hope this time it'll be quicker."
Kondogbia added that he has talked to his coach Ranieri about his chances of playing regularly for Monaco as the season unfolds.
"We've talked about it," said the France international. "He told me he was very calm about me. That he knew what I'm capable of, and that he had confidence in me.
"I'm working for it, I'm doing all I can for it. I don't know how long it'll take for me to get back to my best level. I need to build understanding with my teammates. But I'm confident, I'm aware of my qualities."
Monaco are currently at the top of the Ligue 1 table with 21 points from nine matches.
