AS Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri has paid tribute to his players following their victory over Bastia on Wednesday.
The league leaders maintained their unbeaten start to the Ligue 1 season with a 3-0 win at Stade Louis II thanks to a Radamel Falcao brace following an Emmanuel Riviere opener.
Ranieri was pleased with the result and feels that his team are starting to gel together.
"I am delighted with the performance," Ranieri said in his press conference. "The fans of both teams saw a good match.
"The two teams had lots of chances and the two goalkeepers made good saves. For 20 minutes it was difficult. [Geoffrey] Kondogbia and [Joao] Moutinho were playing together for the first time and you could see that was the case. But slowly we started to find our feet. Maybe we are dependent on Falcao and Riviere, but I am satisfied if they score. Riviere scored and he is a different player these days. Last year he wasn't good, this year he is. When you have good players, all systems are good.
"We can play a 4-4-2 or in a 4-2-3-1. James Rodríguez needs to play and he played well. It was very important to get the three points and our start to the season has been very good. Results breed confidence, but this is not a message to the other teams. It is too early in the season for that."
Monaco travel to Reims on Sunday.
