Aston Villa striker Darren Bent has said that he will battle on after missing out on England's Euro 2012 squad.
The 28-year-old has been out with an ankle injury since February but was confident of being fit for the tournament.
However, Roy Hodgson opted to leave out the forward and take Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Jermain Defoe and Andy Carroll as his strikers instead.
"I am determined to come back stronger like I have the previous two times I have missed out. This won't stop me or deter me," Bent told Aston Villa's official website.
"I now look to the World Cup in two years and will try to be involved in that one. I want to put myself in contention again."
Bent has been linked with a summer move to Liverpool but has stated his desire to stay at Villa Park.
